For customs clearance, it is necessary that the parties to the trading transaction create the prerequisites for placement under a preferential customs procedure. Both the supplier as well as the end consumer must file an appropriate request with the competent customs office and must also gain its approval.

In accordance with Number 1A of the application, you need a customs number. In case you have not yet been issued such a number, kindly apply for it at the OFD (Regional Tax Office) in Karlsruhe, Germany.
